The driver's side of the engine bay was pretty bad off. There was alot of rust under the battery tray and the brake master cylinder was leaking at some point and the brake fluid ate away at the paint underneath it, causing more rust to surface. Fortunately, the rust wasn't too deep, so I only had to grind off the surface rust to get to some smooth(-ish) metal.

The area under the battery tray.

The area ground down, prior to priming.

The area cleaned up pretty good. There was some slight pitting after grinding, but this area is covered by the battery tray, so I just wanted to make sure to paint it (unlike the factory) to help prevent future rust.

GO GO POWER RANGERS!!!!
