Finally got around to doing some of "small stuff" in the engine bay:

  • Installed the heater hoses.

  • Fabbed up a bracket to hold the Lokar transmission dipstick to the firewall. (Yes, I will be blasting those bolts and refinishing ;) )

  • Lengthened the wires for the alternator, since the I6 alternator is on the driver side and I needed the wires to reach the passenger side. I hid the connections in a piece of rubber hose.

  • Lengthened the wire for the coil, since the I6 coil is on the passenger side and I needed the wire to reach my remote mounted coil. I didn't like the look of the bright yellow wire running across the engine bay, so I hid it in a vacuum line.

  • Fabbed up a coil bracket that used an existing hole in the engine bay.

  • Installed dist gear and wired the Mallory Unilite distributor. Also installed the ballast resistor.

  • Installed new Autolite 64 spark plugs and my old Accell 8.8mm plug wires. (I will be replacing the plug wires with a black set)
